Question:it wont eat it actually stares at its food

if you feed your snake in its tank, it will soon learn that the hand means food. Id suggest feeding it tied in a pillowcase, that way it will learn not to bite unless if its actually in its pillowcase. Also, try offering live food if you use dead. Some store-bought snakes are extremely picky and will only eat mice or whatever they were fed while it was still in the pet shop
A snake will associate its cage with food if that is where you feed it so it's best to provide something like a pillow case or a shoe box to feed the snake so it doesn't get accustomed to being fed in its original enclosure. Also cause I have had problems with some of my snakes eating. What kind of snake is it, how long have you had it, what is it being kept in, is it feeding on live or dead prey, does it have the right environment, is he shedding, is it not being handled enough, has it eaten before? It could be many different possibilities to why it is acting like that.
well..if your snake snapped at you it doesn't like you obviously to feed it you should do this.if you have string you tie the food on the string and just loosen it so it falls out and watch it eat its food.Hopefully the food you give it.All fingers are crossed for you :D
