Hi
Well you must be in the UK lol because it’s only us who call them royals. They are called ball pythons elsewhere. You want to try and get a captive breed snake. Royals can be very very difficult to get them to start feeding but that’s only in a very small percentage of them. The royal can be a very good start snake as long as you provide them with the right home.
P.S.
No they don't get big, top size around 5ft x which is not big for a Python the longest Python on record was a Reticulated Python (Python reticulatus) which was 31.4ft so Royals lol not big.
Don't do it,I had one and didn't like it.If you don't like snakes don't get one cos their just like a snake but on a bigger scale,
they can be awkward about eatin dead food, especially they're first feed when you get them. make sure there isn't any cedar wood in the case your gonna keep it. ( cedar is toxic to snakes) part from that there ain't too bad as snakes go.
I have 2 and they are awesome. Very friendly, very calm, very good pets. I have not had any trouble feeding.but have heard many people have.
I also have 2 corn snakes...they are awesome too!
Just sold mine
