As everyone stated, they are not poisonous (venomous), however, their saliva, like all snakes, has a much more potent toxin than animals that chew their food. This toxin helps with the initial breakdown of the prey. I say this for the sake of hundreds, if not thousands of people who get bitten by non-venomous snakes every year. They refuse to believe that even a garter snake is not poisonous after the bitten area becomes red and swollen. Panic kicks in, they call the paramedics and its the same old story for them. They take one glance at the dead or captured snake and say,"Garter snake." "Rat snake", "Common water snake", and so on, put some antiseptic on the bite and leave.
My mother handled garter snakes all her life, but it wasn't until she got bitten by a very large garter snake that I had captured in the wild that she set into panic mode and called the paramedics. At the time, I was ten, and I had been studying snakes since I was four. She just wouldn't listen to me. I have seen this time and time again. The few times I have bitten by wild or domestic rat snakes, my hand became a bit red and swollen.
I can't help but assume that you already sensed corn snakes were not venomous, but may have witnessed or experienced a similar situation causing you to cast doubt.
An excerpt from the following site.

"Thus, these snakes have the same gland and produce some of the same toxins. We even pulled out the classic cobratoxin (a 3FTx (three-finger toxin)) from a bloody ratsnake!! The toxin was homologous to and just as potent as a comparative cobra toxin. Same toxins = same gland."
This by no means defines a ratsnake as venomous in the sense that it is dangerous to humans. It just points out that, venom and "saliva toxins" do come from the same gland.
A rat snake's "saliva toxin" is only potent enough to paralyze small prey as it kills primarily, but not always, by constriction. (A large ratsnake will not constrict a small lizard).
Actual venomous snakes (harmful to humans) have a much higher potency of the so called "saliva toxins", since they do not constrict and rely on instant paralization and death of the prey.
BYW. Corn snakes are rat snakes, aka, 'red rat snake'. (Elaphe guttata guttata).
