Question:
Answers:
all reptiles lay soft-shelled eggs because when the baby hatches, it doesnt have a beak to break a hard shell with, so the shell has to be soft. this also makes it way easier on the mother as she is laying the eggs.
All eggs are soft when first layed, then they harden up.
its more of a leathery material it never gets hard like a chicken egg does. if they begin to shrivel you may want to check your humidity and ensure they are covered in moist vermiculite or whatever you are using for a medium during incubation. if they are shriveled do not give up they are pretty hardy and may come back just fine. if yellow/brown and have fingis on them they are probably dead or infirtile.
