Any snake experts able to identify this guy?

Question:I found him on a rock near a lake in New York and its pattern is very distinctive. I took a pic with my camera phone, so it is a little fuzzy.

Answers:
I'm from NC and it looks like a copperhead to me. They are fairly small but aggressive little buggers and venomous.

It looks like a rare necktie snake. They kill human males by constriction around the neck.
COPPERHEAD. Poisonous. Found all over the Eastern states. Count yourself lucky and don't pick one up again- could make you really sick if it bites.
