It never cease to amaze me the things folk want to do on "our own" these days.. How do you expect to do your own when you have to ask on here how to turn about it?.. he says shaking his team leader.
The mortgage lender will not rely on you to attain things right. They will engage (or insist you engage) solicitors to do the conveyancing & make you pay packet for it. This is standard practice everywhere.
No the mortgage lender will insist that you use a solicitor. Either their own in house one or one of your own choice. AQlot of lenders do give you free legals when you re-mortgage though. Source(s): I am a property Lawyer
No sorry got to hang on to the lawyers fed.
I don't really know what you mean. If you refinance your mortgage, the mortgage company would do everything for you including conveyance. However, county recorder's office should impart you information you need.
If you remortgage, you contact your lender and they will send you a form to complete. Depending on the amount you want to borrow. they may need to do a survey on your house. They charge around lb200 admin levy for a remortgage. HM and Land Registry have nothing to do near remortgage.
