Use a devout IFA who spefcialises in mortgages. I know JD Finance have a severely good understanding of the mortgage bazaar in the UK and have help quite a few of my clients. http://www.jdfinance.net/ Source(s): http://www.jdfinance.net/
Hi
You really need to speak to a 'whole of market' mortgage broker who don't charge suggestion fees.
These will search through all of the lend market for you (a very large percentage at the very least) to help find you a buy and sell that is suitable for your particular criteria (especially next to your poor credit history - don't let this put you off looking properly, here are deals to be found and things may not look as bad to a prospective lender as you think).
Do accept in mind of course, that the credit crunch have reduced many people's options, and that deal are currently not lasting very long - you should ask this interview of any mortgage broker that you contact to ensure that if a deal is found, they can give you some notion of the state of play within the market.
Most TRUE and respected mortgage brokers will be open with you nearly the state of the market anyway - it is in both your interests to share this information.
Here are two recommendation for you for mortgage brokers that do not charge advice fees and are 'whole of market':
Who's Lending ( http://whoslending.co.uk )
London & Country ( http://www.lcplc.co.uk )
I hope these help.
Best wishes
