I am in the process of buying a house.
It is a cash public sale as it is being bought from a settlement from my ex.
For speed he is paying for the property (it will all be solely contained by my name,he has in recent times sent a cheque to my solicitors) so i can move in but it needs a gala amount of refurbishment so i was hoping to get surrounded by then remortgage straight away to get the work in full swing but someone has just told me i inevitability to be registered at the new property for a absolute minimum of 6 months since i can remortgage.. Does anyone know if this Information is correct? if so is there any other way round it or loans i could take without paying crazy interest rates?

no thats incorrect as soon as you officialy own the property you are entiteld to cart out a mortgage against it the property is simply the mortgage lenders garuntee against the loan and therfor as long as your on the deads then you can borrow against the property
