I think they do. When I'm working in my office (where I keep my gerbil's cage) and my gerbil is running around being her crazy gerbil-y self, she sometimes trips and falls. She knows I've seen her, so she stands on her hind legs, looks at me for a second, and then runs and hides for a few minutes. It's like she knows she's just done something goofy!
I doubt it. I don't think they think like that.
Your question is hilarious. I'm not sure, but I don't think they would be able to feel embarresment. They probably wonder "What the heck?" though. :)
Sometimes I think they do. My clumsy cat trips almost every chance he gets. Afterwards he seems to look at me with eyes full of embarassment and then he slowly walks away.
