If you're having to ask this question then I'd have to say you're not a horse person. Most people in here have no idea about large animals. And for the most part they are dangerous with their respective answers. If a child is involved, then I'd suggest you hire a neighbor, or someone you KNOW is horse savvy to help you. It's easy to hide problems of a horse from a novice. It's done all of the time. Please be careful..
Also, the websites mentioned are a prime example of where NOT to buy a horse.
