Question:I will be 16 in January and all my life I have loved animals. I am so good with them and anyone who knows me knows I love to care for and take in animals. My question is, how could I get people to let me take in their animal when they go out of town and stuff? Would people trust me enough to let me keep their pets? I need all the extra cash I can get to take care of my animals and get things I want. I also really want to put some money into savings. What should I do?

YES! People enjoy havn't teens take care of their pets. I am sure that they would trust you! I would suggest making some flyers telling, your age, how much you charge for a day, what kind of pets you can do, your phone number, your email address and any other useful information! You can post the flyers, at your local library, your local animal shelter or vet, at your parent's work, and spread the word in your neighborhood!

wow... i was just thinking of doing this like 20 min. ago haha. but i would totally let somebody watch my pets if they were close near by and i met them and trusted them... put up flyers.. maybe start w/ small animals first then work your way up.. good luck ;]
Just to get yourself out there, you could make fliers. You should put your first and last name, phone number, what kind of animals you'll accept pet sitting, and your amount of pay if you wish. You can post it places, and give some to your neighbors and friends so they know they have someone to go to that they know.
Go to Craigslist.org, this is a really cool site that lets you place and view ads for free in your area. Be creative don't just use pet sitter/sitting as your headline, come up with something creative that will catch peoples eyes and let them know you love pets, then give a brief description of why you want to yourself(why you like pets,pets you own,your charges, etc.) this worked for me. Also do the same with a few flyer's and post them around your area.

You could put a small ad in the newspaper advertising your services, maybe you get get your parents to help pay for it. Also, you could make several 3x5 cards up. Put the info on them and distribute them to your neighborhood grocery stores. Most of them have bulletin boards up by the entrances. Make up fliers and put them in mailboxes of a rich neighborhood, I've heard there is pretty good money in that kind of service if you advertise to the right people. Good Luck!!
