How exalted is length of employment to getting a mortgage?

Hi...
My fiance and I are almost finished our final year of university and will be moving back home to live with his parents. We are also going to be starting unchanging jobs in our paddock starting in May.

We would like to purchase a condominium challenging renting as we don't want to live with parents for an extended period of time, although I am wondering if we will enjoy to if length of employment is a critical factor in obtaining a mortgage?

Any information would be great!

I am living contained by Canada if this makes a difference in anything.

Thanks profoundly.

Your lender will want to see that you have been employed for at tiniest six months with steady income in duplicate field in which you received your point. They will also want to see a copy of your diploma and/or transcripts. I had a client who went to arts school to be an accountant, went to work as a controller (had been employed beside her company for less than a year) and that was what the lender asked for. Good luck and congrats on your celebratory and graduation! Source(s): I am a Licensed Mortgage Broker, Real Estate Closer, and Notary Public
