A lot of Mortgages enjoy a 15 day grace period previously they asses late fees. Your mortgage is due on the 5th but not late until the 16th. If you can money online, that is a good hypothesis as well. They usually give you a reciept page you can print out within case there are any question. They are not allowed to report it to your credit until you are 31 days late.
Your situation is exceedingly common. Paying a mortgage out of state is no different from paying one within your state. The most reliable channel of paying your mortgage on time and be able to verify the compensation is by getting your bank to do automatic payments. It is a lot resembling internet banking but doesn't require you to remember to log on to your account and salary the monthly statement. Just make sure your checking account have enough money in it to cover the debit.
We pay all of our bills online. You should win some kind of code that you can save as a citation in case the lender ever does try to read out you didn’t pay – not that I’ve ever had that problem next to any company I pay online.
I much prefer that to mailing a check, when you never own a way to know if it reached the right place.
