What states enjoy license requirements for mortgage brokers offering mortgage loan modification services?
I am trying to find out if real estate professionals offering to help homeowners beside mortgage loan modifications have to be licensed or otherwise regulated by government requirements?
Do they really provide matching services provided for free from the government (saw this on tv news show tonight)?.

They are adjectives scams anyway. Anyone telling you otherwise is trying to con you themselves.
You can do this yourself, newly ask your bank for the modification package.
Nope, they are unregulated, and the majority are scam artists.
Do NOT bother beside them. You can call your lender and do your own legwork to get your loan modified. Most of these firms will promise you the moon and charge you a excise up front, only to leave you within the lurch.
