All inquiries within a specific period of time (I'm not sure of the time frame) are counted as one inquiry. That applies for mortgages. It also applies to other forms of credit applications, such as auto purchases. So, nearby may be multiple inquiries, but--for credit score calculation purposes--it's with the sole purpose counted as one inquiry.
