How can I close an uncap mortgage loan armour and does that effect my credit?
We signed a good faith estimite and a loan application near a mortgage company, but we decided to cancal the buying process because the inspaction shows some majer problems with the house.
I call the mortgage company and told them,we're not buying the house because it has problems, and we going to wait until the summer. and I asked to wrap up the process of the loan.
we opened an account next to freecreditreport.com to monitor who is pulling our credit report , and I was shocked that there are more that 5 mortgage companies have obtion a copy of our credit report, we only conntected two brokers and asked for only one pre approvel. also it shows a message " we own an open mortgage loan case".
we don't want to deal near this mortgage company and we decided to get a loan from our sandbank when ever we want to buy a house, and never use a broker.
Note:
we never recieved the final underwriting approvel. we only get a phone call from the broker and he said we are approved .

Mortgage brokers check with several different banks/lenders to find the best program for you. I have 21 inquiries on my credit report from one mortgage broker, and still was approved for a low interest FHA mortgage from my bank 30 days latter.
That was five years ago. I was told by a friend of the line, who is a Vice President of a mortgage company, that now all inquiries pertaining to a mortgage inwardly 30 days count as 1 inquiry, as long as the company represents itself as a mortgage company to the credit bureaus. Also, most mortgage approvals are only good for 30-60 days; my guess in a few months your "open mortgage case" will be gone.
I wouldn't worry nearly it, this is not out of the ordinary for potential home buyers.
The credit pulls aren't an issue. There's differences between hard hits, and soft hits. Credit card companies check your credit adjectives the time with soft hits, before calling or mail to solicit.
And often times when applying for a mortgage, multiple parties are seeking the report. You didn't specify any timelines, and it can hold some time for entries to register.
You know, there are some creditng institutions who don't even report to the bureaus every month. Credit scoring can still be very antiquated compared to the Web sites who claim to montior the processes for you.
One final piece of warning. You'll pay much more at a bank than you want to. If they don't charge more for normal business transactions, then how do they pay envelope for the beautiful, brand new brick walls? Nobody works for free, especially not a ridge. And noone works harder for their client than a broker, because to them, it's personal.
Another analogy? Going to a bank for a mortgage is like going to MACY's lacking a One day sale coupon for thirty percent stale. Do you really want to pay ultra retail prices when the same product is available at a substantial discount?

Second, here is how the process works.
#1. NO ONE scammed you.
#2. You go to a BROKER and NOT a bank...a broker will send your mortgage application to a NUMBER of bank in order to receive approval and/or the best deal.
#3. You will never get a reminder of approval from the bank when you go through a broker...you'll go and get it from the broker b/c you are the broker's customer...and the broker is the bank's customer...you are a 3rd party to the bank.
#4. Easy approach to fix the "open application" status on the credit report...just call for the broker that you went through and just fix it.
#5. Freecreditreport.com is a scam....adjectives you did, if you read the fine print...is apply for another loan which put a dent in your credit score...it say in the fine print that you are given a free copy of your credit report IN EXCHANGE FOR THE OFFER of loans....that is alike as applying for a loan.
#6. If you want a copy of your credit report that DOES NOT hit your score, go directly to the repository websites for Equifax, Transunion and Experian...you hold the legal right to pull your own credit report, every daylight of the year, if you want to, and it is NOT considered an inquiry when you pull it DIRECTLY from the credit bureau. I would guess it will close on its own. But you can dispute any and all informaiton on your credit report if you want to. Things take time to hit you credit report. Send the mortgage general public a letter saying that you are closing. I do not dream up it is a big deal really.
