How can I get hold of a mortgage.. if I've never owned a credit card?
I don't plan on ever having a credit card. If I have a 20% down donation on a home, but no credit score.. How can I purchase a home?
Answers:
never have any problem getting housing finance without a credit card here - same as you I compensated cash for new vehicle etc but surely your lender take this into account ? Credit rating should not be a sign of credit card - that almost makes it compulsory to have one - no channel!
The other answer before mine... the guy is a jerk and can't spell.... The answer is YES, you CAN bring a mortgage. The big plus is you have a substantial down payment. You also own bank accounts, pay utility bills, that generous of thing. Just because you do not have a credit card does not close-fisted you do not have a credit record! When applying for a loan, specifically a mortgage, money debate. The more money of your own you invest by the down payment, the longer you have have your bank accounts, the longer you have be employed, the better. AND, if you are turned down, they have to specify in writing the judgment WHY and you are entitled to copies of any credit reports they used as a basis to deny you credit. So, you have nought to lose. If you are denied, then at least you will find out what is surrounded by your credit reports NOW, which is a good thing to KNOW. Also, you are properly entitled to a copy of your credit reports from the 3 big credit reporting companies once a year, for FREE, just for the asking. Like I said, not having credit cards does NOT propose no credit reports! Use a search engine to find details on requesting the free annual reports you can get properly simply by asking.
You need a Co-signer. And the personality that signs with you is made responsible in grip you don't pay. The person that you choose to sign next to you NEEDS to have good credit.

If you can, proof to the bank you can pay the house for yourself.. similar to having a consistent, sufficient entry amount of money in you portrayal. Then you may not need a Co-signer. The records of you hill account should show consistency pattern length of at least two years.
