If this was the Republicans denounce, the democrats would be putting someone on trial. Since no Republican is on trial, I guess that means that the dems can't find anyone to blame it on, because its their fault. If it wasn't for the GREED OF THE DEMOCRATS, we wouldn't be within this mess. Btw, Paulson is a democrat.

You can't regulate greed, purely like you can't legislate morality. Unless - and until - mere mortal men choose to change their behavior, such unprincipled and criminal antics will continue for as long as this world stands.
And let's not limit it merely to Republicans.....there's some of that kind of treachery and malfeasance in adjectives of us (how many of us here don't cheat on our income taxes, for example). Lying, stealing, cheating and coveting are all adjectives human traits. What's reprehensible about the sleazy, corrupt bankers, politicians, mortgage lenders, insurance executives and hedge fund speculators is the gargantuan proportions of their greed - and their shameful agency of continuing to feed their addiction to avarice by putting their problems on the backs of the American taxpayers. It is command intervention through the fed and Congress requiring loans to bad credit risks that cause this. While the Fed for certain shouldn't be able to work trailing closed doors as it does, it is unconstitutional delegation of Congressional power of the purse to begin near, and should be wound down and abolished.

McCain graduate at the bottom of his class. Reagan dropped out of college. Bush just seems to enjoy barely learned anything. He's a rosy colored specs fellow, Mr. Good Times.

Greed know no party...And surely regulation is simply rules set down to protect against fraud and overcharging, and per your question All Americans will benefit from transparency contained by the markets. I know the race is tight and blame have a power to chip away at either party...but surely this time of great turmoil requires equal clear level headed non taking sides and long sighted goals that we Americans have to wrestle next to on a daily basis.
