Mortgages and credit evaluation.?

My boyfriend and I want to buy a home. He makes twice as much as I do and has a credit win of 762. My credit score is somewhere around 500 or lower. Would my credit score hurt the interest rates we could bring or because I am additional income would it help? Obviously my chalk up sucks, but I don't know how they calculate the rates.
Answers:
its better that you keep yourself out of this do business otherwise it will be difficult to get the loan.
rates are not depended to the credit score. rate of interest is depends lone on the size of loan.
Let your boyfriend buy the home on his own. Your score is low and will make it more difficult. I doubt your added income would really overcome the poor credit.

Besides, you should NEVER, NEVER, NEVER co-sign or as one purchase anything with someone you are not legally married to. If you break up, it become a nightmare.
