When does tardy mortgage hit Credit?
My husband lost his job 8 months ago. We went from him making $70,000 to $30,000. He have not been able to find another profession like he had formerly. I picked up an extra job but we have have a hard time this month. We are late on our mortgage. We should own the money on the 3rd of July. Our mortgage is due on the 1st of every month but we have a 15 grace period. I hold heard that it will show up on our credit after 30 days. Will that be 30 days after the 1st or 30 days after the grace period. My dad is a co-signer on the home and he have a 750 credit score. I don't want his credit to be affected by this. Thanks!

it will be reported the 2nd,,,,the grace period is for belatedly fees,,,when your mtge is due on the 1st,it's due on the 1st... you and dad are about to take a ding....ur not unpaid yet,try something asap....
As long as it's paid prior to the 30 days, it will not be reported to the credit bureaus. However, you are charged additional interest every daylight past your due date. It's called per-diem.If you prudence to email me the date of the mortgage and the amount, i'd be more than happy to figure out a mode to help resolve your problem Source(s): Retired bill collector 35 years
Ask lenders for agreement to delete this items from your credit report when paying them. I recommend to grasp such agreement thru credit repair agency, for example this one - creditreport.fateback.com
