Question:i just set up a 33 gallon aquarium. wut would some good fish to put in there? i was thinking like aggressive fish like piranhas, wut other kinds of fish? should i get black or red gravel? gravel or sand? how many piranhas? its got a whisper 60 gallon power filter on it.

It is a bit small and shallow for piranhas. You are in Canada and it is 36.125" x 12.625" x 18.25"? I'd look into something like a 54 gallon 36.3125" x 18.25" x 20.25" or 72 gallon 48.25" x 18.25" x 20.25". The extra 2" height and and 6" depth will be appreciated by any aggressive species. The extra 12" width wouldn't hurt either.
Aggressive fish tend to be large fish. Large fish don't go well with a 33 gallon.
a 33 gallon aquarium is too small for one piranha. if you like agressive fish, i highly suggest cichlids or oscars. i own both. i have a 55 gallon in the livingroom with about 15 cichlids and in my room i have a 60 gallon with two tiger oscars. if you got cichlids, i would suggest larger gravel, or a small stone. place some live plants in there too, it's good for the fish. and with those fish you can have a plecostumus (pleco, aka algae eater) i also have a 100 gallon tank in my bedroom with one red bellied pacu, a cousin of the piranha.
Don't get Piranhas, they really aren't that cool and they will not show much aggression. They also get too big (12 inches each). Try some small African Cichlids like Electric Yellow Lab, or Electric Blue. These sites really help:

Don't get Oscars like somebody said, they get 18 inches long and need 50 gallons of water for only one Oscar. They will also eat any tankmates.
