So she is an insecure girl that slept with some random dude because he said he liked her? I don't know who is worse, her for not respecting herself or the guy for acting that way. So she tried to kill herself because of some dude who she obviously didn't know well.. I don't know what to tell you, some people are just stupid.
You should have given her better surface agitation, she was probably suffocating and had to make a jump for it.
