could be alot of things
1 he died and your neons ate him
2 his corpse is rotting under one of your ornaments or plants
3 he died and his body decomposed before you relized he was gone
or
4 he got sucked up your filter
it is possible, if it were sick or something like that, they have a tendancy to eat their dead
Is it possible that it jumped out of the tank? Look around on the floor. Sometimes fish will jump if the tank is not covered or something spooks them.
It could've but those fish would have to eat fast! Check in the filter..sometimes they somehow find their way in there. If it's not there check on the floor around your tank. Tetra's are awesome jumpers.
