Question:i recently bought a kit for growing triops. once i grew them 5 of the eggs hatched. i read on the internet that thay will eat each other. is this why i only have two left? and the two that i have left are a male and a female. i can tell it is a female because of the yellow sack attached to her. is there any chance that my last 2 triops will breed before they eat each other?

Here I read that what you have is a hermaphrodite not a female for example. "The hermaphrodites can fertilize their own eggs (called "selfing"), or can mate with a male." So yes probably so, to answer your q on if they might mate.

Not seeing anywhere that they'd eat each other.
" If you keep them in good health then they can live as long as 14 weeks. Though 8 weeks is typical. "
our triops kit says that once all the triops die off, to let the water evaporate completely then start over by adding new water and a new batch will hatch. We are now letting the water evaporate... but you can buy more eggs. Walmart has them in the fish food section
