Question:ok i just got 3 neon tertras today, i read all about them and they have a 1 gal. tank with plants hidey holes and plenty of shady areas, and some tropical fish food, but my bubbler is really old and doesn't work very well, i have a really good bubbler with alot of outlets but its hooked up to my big 10 gal. tank downstairs with my huge goldfish that would eat the tertras in 1 bite, i would like to keep the tertras in my room but im just worried!!!!! should i risk them being in that small tank with little circulation, but ill be able to watch them before i go to bed, or should i put the tank downstairs and hook it up to the good bubbler and not watch them as much, like when their lights dim when it gets dark? i think i already know the answer but what do you think???
Answers:
3 Neons don't require heavy filtration and don't even like strong currents so I think you are fine just as you are. I would say to be sure and do your weekly 25% water changes on that tank and be sure to clean the gravel each week as well. That will help to keep them healthy and happy.

just buy another one
buy another one
Go buy another one... also, I hope that Neon tank has a heater considering (since you know everything about Neon Tetras) they are tropical fish that need warm water. They should really have a tank larger than that, you practically have them in a bowl right now. If you keep them in their, they will likely be very stressed and unhealthy.
