Fish are VERY sensitive to vibration.
Do not have loud music anywhere near them.
I used to work at a petland in NYC. That fact of the matter is that sudden vibrations in the water can cause tropical fish to become disorientated and in fact crash or bump into objects like the tank. So to answer your question is yes.
idk call a vet LOL
Fish are VERY sensitive to vibration.
They will certainly be aware of your music. Whether they like it or not is up to them.
Watch what the fish do when you put on loud music. If they swim around liesuely, they can tolerate it. If they dart around and look skittish, they are upset.
Yes that can affect them. Music does cause vibrations and the louder you have it the more vibrations it causes and your fish might get stressed and get sick and die.
Yes its not good for them, or to be in a room where areosols are used frequently.
Obvously its not good for them.
Yes fish can become stressed or dis-oriented by the vibrations! It's not a good idea to have speakers near the tank at all. Certainly don't have a sub-woofer near one. That can stress them so much they become disease prone and even die!
Happy fish swim with a lazy action, if they are darting round the tank at times other than meal times then they are stressed! If they appear to bump into the glass or ornaments they are dis-oriented! Reducing the sound level will help them, but you might find it easier to keep them in a dining room where there is no music system.
Answer is yes fish detect sound and vibrations through a line down their sides called the lateral line a quick test is to gently tap the glass of their tank and watch how fast they jump so considering that sound and vibration travel through liquids its best NOT to play them loud music especially with tons of bass in they wont appreciate it
Fish are obviously not for you. Fish and noise don`t go.
Definately...fish are sensitive to everything. My LFS recons that tapping on the glass of the tank, the vibrations caused in the water will stress the fish out and possibly kill them. I imagie it would be the same deal with vibrations caused by speakers. I even managed to *almost* kill the choral in my marine tank by smoking in the same room. It turns out the smoke from my cigarettes was being blown into the tank by the fan and the toxic chemicals entered the water and killed the choral! Live and learn.i won't do it again
Yes they can.
They mabye yes. Jus dont keep them to close to the speakers they can be in the same room. My fish are fine
yes it effects them..my fish tank is right next to my sterio and i often play music pretty loud.. my fish start trying to hide and may get somewhat stressed but once i turn it off theyre fine
