How come they sell glofish every where else except in california?

Question:i like how they look but there not sold in california

Answers:
I think California has rules and laws that bann the sale of genetically engineered livestock.
This is to protect the enviroment if they wre released into the wild.
Glofish have had genes from sea creatures to make them flourescent under UV light.

Never knew they weren't sold in Cali. I have several and love them. Down here they are starting to pop up everywhere, believe it or not I actually bought my last 2 at Walmart. No, this is not a place I ussally buy fish from, but couldn't pass them up since they are a bit expensive at other fish stores.
(I'm sorry this really isn't an answer but I couldn't help but comment) what do you mean they don't sell goldfish in california? that seems really strange to me.
Perhaps California has a conscience.
