Question:so I just found out I have four paradise fish. They have been living with my guppies for a while and seem to be okay but I just read up that they can be aggressive and might even kill other fish.great. So should I keep them in the tank they are in now and see how they handle the situation or should I buy 2 of the double betta tanks (that is would it be big enough for the 2 inch - 3 inch long fish)?
Answers:
They really are not that bad as far as aggression goes. Being distant relatives of the betta, the males will flair at each other, but damage is almost never done. So don't worry, especially since you didn't say anything about having problems with them as it is.
If you have fish that are with noaggressive fish..they will probably kill the other fish. I had a fish of all aggressive fish and they eventually killed eachother off. Now i stick with nonaggressive fish. I would do that if your a advid tank keeper to save money and save your fish!
I would leave them together. Remember all fish can become agressive, that does not mean they all do. Having them in a tank with other fish where there is little to no competition for food or space will help to keep the fish calm.
A betta tank isn't the answer. Let them go together. If you start to see aggressive behavior, then I would move them but not to a betta tank. It has no filter and is way to small for two fish per side.
