Question:Just bough some live plants and discovered theres 2 small brown snails on them, I have put them in a breeder net with my guppies, because i think the make good cleaners to clean the small food particels from my fry, Is it true that they can breed if there is only one sex(the snails).

yes it only tanks one snail to have babies.
and soon youll have more snails than you know what to do with. thats why I dont like snails.
snails and slugs as well as worms.. are bi so to speak.
they are both mail and female.
so they will breed if you give them long enough.
They may very well turn out to be ferocious plant eaters. So it's not a good idea to keep them with plants.
You have what is commonly referred to as black gravel snails. They can reproduce asexually, and deposit tiny gellatin egg blobs all over your tank. You will have hundreds before long. Get a striated, Yo-Yo, skunk, or angelicus loach and you will not have any more snail issues. Within weeks of removing the loach, you will find more snails in your tank. I have heard of people drying out their gravel for months, bleaching it and still getting snails. If they don't bother you, then don't worry about them. You could get a second tank, put a puffer in it, and watch him chow down on those little snails when you feed him.
It is not true that snails can breed when single
It is true that every snail has both male and female organs, the condition called as hermaphrodite, but it takes two snails to fertilise each other and both then lay eggs.
Secondly it is not a good idea to keep snails as they multiply so rapidly and the eggs are so small that you can't control the populstion. So best is remove the snails
finding snales on plants is common, and they do breed like rabbits :)
