My flower horn doesn't want to eat..?

Question:my flower horn doesn't want to eat. after 3days without eating i notice it was weakining.. but the belly is getting biger and biger i thought it was just pegnant.. and the next day my fish died.. what had just hapend?..

There is more then one thing it could have been Did anything accompany the bloatedness? Protruding scales, white stringy poop? Body discoloration? One thing for sure - not eating didn't kill it, the health itself problem did.

This type of thing tends to happen most often in poor water conditions, with a poor diet, in an undersized tank, or a combination of these factors. Any details you can give?


we have the same case but my flowerhorn didn't eat for 6 days..it has fungus all over his body..i tried feeding him worms, but still don't want to eat.
dropsy, your water must be way off to cause the internal organs to shut down.


Drospy is pretty much uncureable, as poor water leads to shutting down of the organs which causes fuilds to build up causing the popped scales which = deathfor the fish.
