Can you tell the gender of a Kenyi Cichlid when they're the size of a bullet?

Question:can you tell when they're the size of a bullet or do you have to wait for them to grow bigger?

right now it is pretty purple with stripes

Juveniles are purple but as they age the males become a yellow colour,you may have to wait until then to tell.Here are some picture of males and females:

All Kenyi fry are that pretty purple striped color until they mature and males turn yellow in color.
