Can I use a property that have no equity (100% mortgage) to bail someone out of young offenders` institution?

I've heard of people posting bail by putting up their homes that they own. Does anybody know anything going on for the process- or if my house will be rejected outright because I owe 100% of the value of the house to the bank?
