Question:the throwup looks like oatmeal
Answers:
You know your dog is not well so take your dog back to the vet tomorrow morning. Insist on further diagnostics or get a second opinion. The most important part is that your dog sees a vet promptly.
Until then rest the belly by not feeding.Allow access to water. I can not stress how important it is not to give over the counter medication to your pets. Do not give any medications other than directed by your vet.
I hope your dog is feeling better soon.
if it is around cat food that can cause it if they eat it and also if you take them car riding alot it can be car sickness.
Could be his dog food. Try getting something for sensitive stomachs. ProPlan puts out a good one. Or get another Vet.
boil some plain white rice and lean hamburger ( seperatly) the mix it together and serve in place of dog food --- see if that helps!
Crappy dog food, or you are over feeding him... If you don't like what your vet says, or you aren't seeing your dog get better, then get a 2nd opinion from another vet.
He may be allergic to the fillers in his dog food, Try asking the vet for some dog food with no fillers.
Dogs in a way are just like people so your dog could just me nervouse. I have a friend who has a dog that whenever she tries to do things like clip toe nails and stuff like that her dog throws up. It also could have eaten something that his or her stomach did not agree with. But to be safe I would take her to a different vet to get a second opinion. Hope this helped:)
thanks for the information about the oatmeal part my foods going to stay down! ok moving on ! i think u should get another vbet in the area ! or tell ur vet that he's being doing this is he sick!? idk am not a vet person!
it might be somthing ur feeding ur dog by accident,OR it might be what ur dog is eating. and also, try a different vet. maybe ur dog has a stomach virus.
Make sure he is not getting into anything around the home then, if the vet said he is ok.. Maybe could be his dog food also, try changing to something made for sensitive stomachs.. But definitely check around the home and outside and see if he is eating any plants or something else. If you are not happy with what the vet told you maybe get a second opinion and make sure to tell him everything, right down to what the vomit looks like, and whatever your other vet has said.. best of luck hun
Well he's not fine and I would take him to a DIFFERENT VET! BUT you can always go to the store and get something like Kaopektate or an anti vomit human medication and give it to him! Read the instructions for weight and go by that if you can!
But also get as many fluids in him as you can! If you have pedialyte for babies there give that to him if not, if you have Jello, or koolaid that will make the water taste like something he wants to eat! Just get something in him! Even if you have gatoraid! But I would try that if you can't afford another vet visit somewhere else! Try those two things and if you need more hlpe email me at mswj_a@yahoo.com
