I think that all dogs are cute! Large dogs are my favorite, but any dog that is rescued from an animal shelter is the best dog of all!!
I prefer large dogs.
I love the little guys. We have almost always had chihuahuas in our lives, but there always seemed to be a large mutt in the mix too. We have chihuahuas now and 2 blue heeler mixes(rescues). I love them all.
I'm one for the large dogs!
Now I have always been a small dog person, although I love any dog really.. small is easier for me to have, handle and care for. My husband was always a big dog guy. Well since we got together and he has fallen for my furbabies he says he was mistaken about small dogs. He used to think they weren't like big dogs. But he says they have just as much charm and personality as their bigger counterparts. What can I say my little girl Chihuahua Poodle mix wrapped him around her paw within days of meeting.
Big dogs. Small ones are like walking a mosquito on a leash.
We kept a chow and great Pyrenees when we had a goat dairy to herd and protect the animals but now living in a small town with limited room we keep a jack Russel terrier. I think it's more practical this way. as a rule of thumb large dogs for country living and small dogs when space is limited.
I have one of each...like (love) them both!
small dogs but depends what type
some of the larger ones are cute too...
My first dog was a Chihauhau / cocker-spaniel that was a gift in 4th grade, at her heaviest she weighed in at only 6lbs. She passed about a year ago, and about 6 months ago we got a lab/rottie mix.
I was always more interested in small dogs, straying to the occasional medium breed, but I have to say that there is something special about a larger dog. The bond is different-though a lot of that could just be his eagerness to please. He takes to training, whereas my childhood dog learned very few things, and only those that she wanted to.
After having both though, Im considering a Great Dane in a year or two.
I love most dogs, but I love the large ones best. Their personalities are different and I love my somewhat goofy big dogs.
I am a fan of Large breed dogs. No offense to those that like the small breeds. I just feel that if I wanted a small dog, that I would get a cat as they are pretty much the same size. Plus, I am not into dressing them up and carrying them around in a purse. I like a dog that I can go for long runs with, a dog that my kids can hug and not be afraid of breaking them.
Large but I do like to foster a little one every once in a while. Keep my beasts on their toes.
I love dogs of both sizes but prefer to own the little ones.
I really don't know. I wouldn't care if it was the largest dog in the united states or the smallest. I love all dogs, and I don't think people should judge by size. Lots of small dogs can do what large dogs can do, and sometimes they can't. I have one large dog and one small dog, and they both put a huge impact onto my life, so to me, in my opinion, I love both.
I prefer medium sized dogs..then large dogs, lastly small dogs.
But I like to DO things with my dogs. I want a dog as my companion, not as a surrogate baby. I want to go walking, camping, I like dog sports..we do agility. I don't want to worry about not seeing my dog and stepping on it. I don't want to have to bend down to pet the dog, I don't want to have to pick it up to put it in our suburban, I don't want to carry a dog around. I want a confident dog, a fun dog. I'm content being a friend and partner to my dog, I don't need an ego stroke worrying if "my dog loves me". We are partners in life.
