Does anybody want my dog?

Question:He's a year old Germ Shep/Rottie mix. Has become aggressive by snapping at the kid twice now scratching with it's teeth, wears a muzzle whenever out now, but one day he got out, and did his happy running in the house, kid was terrified. He's gotta go or die, the pounds won't take him cause now he's labled unpredictable. He needs a home with no kids, that can do training to be good around kids again. Sudden ER change in home environment, severely decreased activity level, 5 acres to 700 sq ft. He's unsure of what his role is or something. It's not his fault, and he is just a pup who doesn't have the thought process to deal with this.
He's neutured, microchipped, handsome, loving, fun, current shots.

Answers:
There are places that rescue mix breed dogs.
Pet Haven is the one I can think of off the top.
Call your local shelter and ask them for the names of some of these organizations.
Don't be put off by them saying you have a dog that is not placeable. You could not believe what some people can do. These are usually the people who volunteer through the rescue agencies.
To advertise FREE DOG is not a good idea. Many times (and sorry to say I am not just using scare tactics. A friend of mine worked for Animal Control - you would not believe the stuff they had to deal with). Your dog may be going to what seems like a great family. Unless you know them personally - it may be a cover. There are many out there that will take your dog and use them as bait for dog fighting, they are also taken to be used for medical experiments.
As for telling the SPCA that you are moving and can't take the dog with your, or some other untruth..how could you live with yourself if you let your dog get placed with a family and it bit their kid in the face?
The truth will set you (and your dog) free to live life.
Good luck.

i wish you luck in finding a home for him. it sounds like your kid might have accidently hurt him or scared him and that's why he's aggressive towards him or her now. if you haven't put an ad in the paper or the local circular, maybe try that as well. i know the one around here offers to put pets in for free as long as they are free. if you still can't find a home for him, call the SPCA.tell them you have a dog you want to sign over because you can no longer care for him since you had to move or something along those lines. once again, good luck
Your dog sounds cute and loving and very trainable but i already have 2 dogs:my 2 yr old female dashund and my 3 month old miniture chiwawa. But if i had te room for another dog urs wold defintely be one of the prime suspects!
I saw this problem on Dog WHisperer. By the way the Producer lives next door to me. You have to start taking the dog for long walks. Establish that you are the pack leader and demand respect. Get a leash and make him walk behind or next to you.
There is a video and book you can buy.
no thanx
aww i hope you find a good home for him, yes he is confused himself, and when a dog is confused, they only way he knows how to act out is dominance to secure himself. please try to find a good home for him.
Yeah right, what about your kid? Get rid of him faster than that, help your kid(?)s deal with the loss.
