cocerning dry dog food, what is the difference among chelated minerals, polysaccharide complexes of minerals,?

Question:depending on the dog food manufacturer, any one of the above can be listed in the ingedients

Answers:
I suggest asking a vet. The only thing I know for sure on dry dog food is making sure of the percentage of protein and fat, AND the source. I once bought a dog food manufactured locally with a high percentage of protein from chicken. My dog loved it, but she started losing weight and her hair started falling out. Ends up the "chicken" was nothing but feathers which are indigestible. She was suffering from malnutrition.

If you are in doubt about the minerals, give a good vitamin and mineral supplement in addition to a good name brand food. I use Purina Hi-Pro, Puppy Chow, and recently Purina One and my dogs are healthier and live longer than most others of their breed.
