Question:
Answers:
Your dog could very well die. If the balloon does not pass on its own, and there are no guarantees about that, it will become lodged in his intestines or urethra, preventing elimination of body wastes and causing a lingering, painful death.
Observe your dog constantly. If can't poop or pee in the next few hours, get him to a vet PRONTO.
If it were my dog, I'd be on my way to the vet's office now.
Other Answers:
he should just pass it when he goes potty.
Thank goodness it was small if it was a large type she may need to go to the vet! Well feed her something slimy (slimy dog food) Then let her drink a lot of water and when she enters the restroom worries should be over. :)
He may not pass it, as its more likely to become lodged and eventually cause a blockage. You should've taken him to the vet for an x-ray before any damage is done. The balloon can stretch, remember, and wrap itself round the dogs intestines.
Take your Yorkie to the vet, marianddoc was absolutely right! Bring along the check book and credit cards it's gonna cost a fortune. My Yorkie had an operation for the same reason. Good luck...
