My 5 year old lab breathes very heavy for no apparent reason.?

Question:My 5 year old lab breathes very heavy for no apparent reason. He acts normal, eats well and shows no signs of being ill in anyway. Does anybody know why he is huffing so much and what would stop it.

Answers:
It is very possible the dog could have asthma. Would need to be properly diagnosed by a vet to determine the exact cause!

it's ok. dogs dont sweat like us and they relieve heat through panting
did u try the vet yet
Is he over weight? Does he not get enough exercise and then when he does run around he's hufffing and puffing?
You should go to your vet
Since you have stated that he is not overweight he may have asthma or an allergy.
