Well, the first thing would be to establish when your ESS started becoming aggressive. These dogs aren't exactly dominating so you have to find out when this started and mark that point. Was there a schedule change in your dogs day? (Animals like routine) Was there a new addition to your family? (S/he may feel jealous or deprived) Have you been more stressed? (Dogs can pick up feelings) And if you can't figure it out, you need to decide what to do. How aggressive is your dog getting? Snapping? Biting? Growling? Or is it just aggressive with furniture, strangers, other animals, etc? The problem might have gotten too far where you might need to get professional help, such as a dog trainer, dog whisperer, and they will give you professional advice about how you and your dog can start mending your relationship where you are establishing dominance. Good luck and I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help.
