who was the person who ever thought to call a dog a dog?

Question:

Answers:
It's more like asking where language came from.
The word dog is an element of the English language, and language as such, is a complex form of human communication that has evolved over time.

So probably the person who called a dog a dog never had a name which posterity has cared to remember. And the reason is pretty clear- it is in no way an intellectual achievement to stand out by itself. I could call a dog a fringue from now on, and maybe fringue is popularised in the distant future due to whatever reason - do you think people will remember me?
