If it's too hot to go outside (like it is here) you can play fetch with her in the house. Also - I make "popsicles" for my dogs.
You can freeze little treats that they like inside of larger ice cubes. My dogs LOVE baby carrots - so I freeze those in the ice & this keeps them busy for a while. It can be messy in the house though since they will get water all over the floor. I just mop up afterward.
You can also play tug of war with some knotted together old socks or a tug toy.

If your dog can run, I like to ride my bike while my dog runs next to me. Its always a treat to ride to the icecream shop for a small cone too.

Personally I like to take my Dalmatian to the beach. The ocean is a very good place to take your dog. Especially if the dog likes water, but even if it doesnt like water than it can enjoy the sun and sand with you.
