Question:im asking this becoz there is a small chiwawa for sale but the previous owner said i have to pay for a spray operation.
Answers:
It is called a SPAY not spray. It means that right now she could end up having puppies when she is in heat (6months old). Getting her spayed will prevent her from ever having puppies, and lumping you with even more vet bills and trying to give away puppies. The average spay (done at 6 months old) is $200-$300 depending on the clinic you take her to. Good luck!
A SPAY varies in cost depending on where you go. You local animal shelter or ASPCA may have a program where you can get it done for a low price or even for free. Just check around.
1) SPAY
2) CHIHUAHUA
3) every vet is different you can call around and get an estimate.
The spay is usually based on the weight of the dog, as the anesthesia is the most expensive part. Many shelters and vets can get you information on low-cost and free clinics, so give them a call and ask. Good luck!
I assume you mean a "spay" operation. You can research low cost spay and neuter clinics online. They generally start around $45 for smaller breeds.
unless you have met this dog and are emotionally attached i suggest .dont buy the chihuahuas instead rescue a dog from petfinder.com the dogs are all ready spayed and are cheap to adopt.
Spay is dependant on weight. You should check with http://www.spayusa.org/search/default.as...
They will reffer a reliable, low-cost clinic to help you with the cost of spaying or neutering your pet.
Good Luck
I believe most vets charge by weight. At least the one I assist does.
They weigh the dog or cat and give you an estimate from there.
If complications arise they could possibly charge more, such as one in heat, a pregnant female, or something like that. Call your local animal clinics and find out their policies. And yes check with your local Humane Societies. Some offer two free spays or neuters a year, or financial help such as discounts on spaying and neutering.

wel if you have to pay for the spay then they should knock off some fo the fee for the spay!
To learn of low cost or free spay/neuter programs in your area, contact your local SPCA or Humane Society, or call 1-800-248-SPAY . This site also lists low-cost or free spay/neuter programs by state or province: http://www.lovethatcat.com/spayneuter.ht...
Many organizations offer free spay to low income.
For a dog of that size I would estimate about $45-$55. Any more than that and you might want to consider finding a more honest doctor. The major cost of the surgery is the anesthetics. The larger the dog the more they need.
