Question:I have to add yummies, he is skinny, Vet said he is ok, just skinny. But get this we found that if we smack our leg and yell ouch he will run over and eat his food!! Strange pooch but we love him,

maybe you should add a little-bit of soft food to your dogs food once or twice a day.
Maybe it's just the food type.. like if you have like Iams or sumthing then try a different kind.. like my dog was pretty much like that *cept for the smakin the leg part which i think is kinda funny btw* but then we switched her to Beneful and she LOVES it and eats it all the time.. HOPE I HELPED!! ♥cookiedough♥
Have you tried a different brand of dog food. If he's eating dry food try canned food instead.
that is weird... have you tried changing brands? We were feeding our sheppard ol roy dog food, but then we changed to ol roy buffet dog food with veggies and stuff. he hated it and wouldn't eat. then we switched back to our old brand and he ate happily. by best friends switched food brands with her rabbits and they started to get really skinny, so she switched back and they go fat again.
Our dog wouldn't eat and it turned out that she was allergic to chicken and almost all food has chicken. We put her on sensitive stomach and she ate and gain weight. Also there is a spray that you spray on the food that has flavor and it stimulates there desire to eat. I also might take him for another opinion. Worms could be a problem with weight lost.
hmmmmmmm that is strange. when ever he does eat his food, praise him. like petting him lovingly and say "good dog" or you could give him a treat. i hope that helps!
yupp u can mix food together..infact that's how you change your dog's food from one brand to another. Start with half of the old food and half of the new food and gradually just completely to the new food. Have you tried wet food? Do you feed him human food too??If you do don't.
Well umm get new food and try it till u find one that he likes but it I were you I wouldn't buy the big bag in case he doesn't like it I would buy the little bags just to see if he likes it but don't worry about it to much if it takes a wail or if it he doesn't like any of them cause then you will get to worried then you will hurt yourself for worring so much!
