They are great dogs, but need a ton of exercise. You should not let them run off leash as they have a tendency to run.
You should
the are very nice and cute
You can even teach them to pull you in a sled!!
But you have to give them lots of exercise

huskey are a wonderful dog but i know you live in Florida and that would be real hard on them plus they like to work and that means running , do you live in area where they can run, if you don't its just not right to keep them penned up.i had one before i moved to Florida and gave her to my daughter who lives in Maine
If you live in the south, you'll have to get them shaved in the summer. My parent's huski get's a haircut throughout the summer. :)
They're really sweet dogs, but they definitely need a lot of exercise, so be sure you have a big yard or you can walk them everyday.
I think so. They are very loving, and very playful dogs. I would only say no if you live in a small apartment, or if you have never owned a dog(they are not the easiest dogs to train) Huskeys need room to run and play. Some good info on their temperament, trainability, etc at:

you should read about them, they will need plenty of exercise. I strongly hope you atleast run with it for and hour! You shouldnt just get a dog because it is cute. YOU have to ask yourself if you are able to be the dominate one in the house and that you can handle it, not the other way around. I recommend to look up on petfinder.com to see the ages and behaviors of dogs that need homes that are near you!
research the dog breed do not get the dog because you thinks its cute.
Not for a first-time owner. You have no idea how much exercise they need - they were bred for pulling sleds for HOURS in the snow!
Also, are you in a hot climate? And do you have a large home with plenty of land - or are you in a condo/apartment?
If you truly care, you will want what is best for the dog, not your own ego. You need to find a less demanding breed of dog.
I have owned quite a few dogs. The husky I owned was the "highest maintenance" of any I have owned.
When I got him, I was a couch potato. He got me started jogging. In his lifetime, I estimate I ran about 3000 miles with him. He would go nuts if we didn't run at least every other day.
If you can handle that aspect of husky's, another potential negative is that they make terrible watch-dogs. If you are thinking about getting one for protection, you are going to be terribly disappointed.
Finally though, they do make excellent companion dogs. And, 20 years after my husky died, I still miss the little guy. I have attempted to replace him 3 time, but, I haven't found another dog with his charming personality yet. Good luck to you with your decision.
hi there is a great husky at www.etobicokehumanesociety.com who needs a home go take a look , just go to adopt a pet and look for the dogs
No. If you don't know anything about the breed, don't get one!! "Cute" is not a reason a to get a dog.
I assume by "husky" you mean a Siberian Husky?
They are stunning dogs, yes.
But you better be a good dog trainer before you get one!
Do your homework. Search on the www. AKC, Siberian Husky clubs, find breeders and ask the people who raise, train and live with them.
Getting a dog just because it's cute is not a good reason and cuteness doesn't help pay the bills or feed the dog or pick up it's poop. Learn about the read on akc's website and learn how to spell the name before you ever think about getting the dog.
