2nd time he runns away?

Question:I have a 2 year old pitt that ran away twice in a week what can I do to prevent from him running away. We have him at my husbands job site as a guarddog has pleantly of space to run around why is his running away

Answers:
If he is not fixed then he is running away to breed with female dogs. If he is fixed, he might be getting bored without human companionship. Dogs are pack animals, try getting another dog if you are going to leave him alone. But definately my first suggestion is to get him fixed if he is not already.

it could be he just wants to explore around
is he in tact or is he neutered?
Neutering a dog can help.
Also, make sure he is getting plenty of interaction with you and your husband. Dogs are social, and often overlooked when they are 'hired' to be guard dogs.
You should make sure he is well socialized especially with you and your husband. Maybe even take him to obedience school to give his brain something to do. This will not lower his performance as a guard dog... that comes naturally. If anything, it will make him more secure in his roll and who is his pack so he will want to guard them even more.

A dog that has the world to run in will run till he finds the social interaction he needs. Go play with him!
Maybe try getting an electric perimeter fence. You can usually find them at petsmart or even lowe's home improvement I believe. We used to have two pit bulls that kept breaking through the fence to our neighbors, until we installed the electric fence. Problem solved & they learn to stay in the yard & away from the fence. Just go to the petstore & ask, they should be able to help you out.
