Imodium works well, make sure to dose according to the weight of your dog. Best home remedy - yogurt. Also, watch to make sure the dog is not becoming dehydrated, good idea to get him or her to drink some Pedialite.
Kaopectate or Immodium. Also feed the dog a diet of chicken and rice instead of the usual food until the diarrhea subsides. Use 3/4 rice to 1/4 chicken. You can broil or micro the chicken, no seasonings.
Why don't you just try chamomile tea . It helps I give it to my dog when she throws up or has diarrhea just replace the water with tea for a day but no sugar in the tea it'll make the dog sic. It heps my dog and my Vet thought that it was OK if helps the dog .
for a 25 lb.dog, no food for 24 hrs.then feed small meals of boiled white rice and boiled white chicken. 4 smalls meals per day for 3 or 4 days,gradually go back to regular diet. I got this advice from my vet,for my 25 lb.dog,just adjust it to the weight of your dog. Also do not give him any milk,it worsens the diarrhea.
