Question:My pommie is not coughing but does alot of gagging exspecially when she is hot or excited.

I don't know how old your dog is but it could be a few things. A lot of small breeds do something called reverse sneezing because that is what it sounds like. It is nothing serious and usually ends quickly. Then he could have canine cough which is also not usually serious and he should get over it like we get over a cold. One other thing is a partially collapsed trachea which is also something little dogs are prone to getting. He can faint from it and if it is bad a vet can prescribe meds for him that can help.

i think it could of ate a weed or it has allergies. give it a benidryl and lots of water
I have a Pom and I've noticed that she only does that when her allergies are acting up. When something is in bloom she coughs and gags and chokes.
