Question:i have a 2 year old pekingese & was thinking about getting him a lil girl dog as a companion...not to breed..but i'm afraid he will be jealous & start having behavior problems. He sometimes will just poop on the floor for no reason...with no alert to me & having just come in from going potty (i always give him plenty of time to pooh,if he has to)...so this behavior thing is a major concern for me. What do you think?

i am not certain about your pooey situation, but for the jealousy and behavioral problems, you should first have the two dogs meet somewhere where neither of the dogs have got to pee or mark. (a nuetral territory)
have them play around and watch them so that they won't get too harsh or aggressive or anything. have them walk around on a leash after they get to know eachother. with you in the middle, they should be parallel from eachother and heeling right next to you. it means that they are a pack. :)
your dog can get jealous if you're not giving the same attention you did from before or you're giving more attention to the other dog. it can lead to aggression to the other dog, biting, barking, etc. so be careful not to give too much attention to the new dog. (so i suggest you not getting a new puppy, cause you then need to teach it to poop and pee some place else.. training, playing... etc. which can get the other dog jealous.)
You can take your dog to the pound..and the your dog will run into another there...and they will hit it off..
