Does this hurt a dog's ears?

Question:I was trying a new vocal warmup technique today and my dog starting howling, but it sounded almost like he was trying to howl in tune with my voice, his would change as mine did.?

Put your lips together and do scales so that your lips vibrate loosly... do you think that would hurt a dog's ears? We haven't had him since birth, so maybe he was trained to do that... is that possible?

Answers:
No, it doesn't hurt his ears. :) I have two dogs myself and am a trained singer, and they never had any issues with my singing. My sister and I lived together for a while, though, and her dog freaked out whenever I sang high (my low range didn't seem to bother him), and especially when I played the recorder. He also howls along to "Happy Birthday", and it's gotten to the point that I get a call every year on my birthday of him singing to me. :) It's a mystery why some dogs howl more than others, but it certainly doesn't hurt them when you sing.

No it doesn't hurt his ears

My dog does that, too. They're just howling with the pack. :)
as long as it didn't sound like a dog whistle. then no it wouldn't hurt their ears
Hmmm try it again, probably it would not hurt after 1 time.
It does. Dogs, cats, animals in general are sensitive to noises. That's why a watchdog howls when we hears other dogs bark. We dont hear their sounds yet he does. Try to train when he's not around. This would be better and better yet ask a doctor lest u affect him unawares.
your question was a little long, so i didn't read it. sorry

but i tell you, nothing hurts a dog's ears as long as it is audio and nothing physical.
no, dogs howl in the wild as a family unit, this is what he is doing with u
Your dog was singing along with you!
