Question:Traveling in an Recreational Vehicle, Traveling across the United States for half of the year, preferebly a small to mid size breed.
Answers:
You can look up all kinds of small to mid size dog breed books at the library. Ask your vet for opinion as well as friends or neighbors. I believe no matter what breed or size as long as you start them at very early age. I had a mixed breed of cocker spaniel and dachshund; he loves to ride in the car. I had another dog...she was not crazy to get in the car. Right now I have two labs that are crazy for car ride and trips!
Other Answers:
look for a breed that you enjoy the look of. or even a mutt from your local rescue.
